Breaker Operating - Mechanism For Bhel Breaker Type BLG 102, 202 & 302
Work on the operating mechanism should be carried out only when the springs are in discharged condition and the circuit breaker is in open position.
Quarterly Maintenance :
| 20 E-01 Q | Clean the operating mechanism, whenever required. |
| 20 E-02 Q | Clean the auxiliary switch contacts. |
| 20 E-03 Q | Clean the terminal blocks |
| 20 E-04 Q | Tighten the electrical connections. |
| 20 E-05 Q | Check gear wheels for any wear and tear, replace, if necessary. |
| 20 E-06 Q | Check proper functioning of closing and tripping coil. |
| 20 E-07 Q |
If overhauling has been done then check by manual charging operation of closing spring to check that the limit switch contact of closing-coil circuit closes 1-2 mm before the contact in the motor circuit; opens. |
| 20 E-08 Q | Check the function of limit switch. |
| 20 E-09 Q | Check whether heater is functioning properly. |
| 20 E-10 Q | Check that the foundation bolts are properly tightened. |
Yearly Maintenance or After Approximately 500 Operations:
| 20 E-11 Y | Check the earthing of operating mechanism cubicle. |
| 20 E-12 Y | Replace the parts if wear and tear is more. |
| 20 E-13 Y | Gear wheels should be lubricated ensuring that no grease comes into the friction clutch. Wipe off if it is there. Grease 784 is to be used. |
| 20 E-14 Y | Apply rust preventing medium on untreated surfaces of iron and steel. |
| 20 E-15 Y | Check operation of motor. |
